Summer 2008

Summer has come and gone
already. I know it's a common theme with me, and I'm not the first to
say it, but life really flies. As I write this we're getting ready for
Halloween. More birthdays, parties, BBQs, the works.
Greta's in 2nd grade, Jack
and T are in preschool...Maggie planned an awesome vacation for us in sunny
New Glarus Wisconsin. It's been a lot of fun.
This project has become a lot
harder lately, as the digital camera holds thousands of pictures, and I have
to go thru them and pick the best, what? Two Hundred? It's
ridiculous. OK, see you soon. |
Spring 2008

It's now July. I'm
updating the site for the first time since March. I used to be quick
about this. Oh well. At least it's getting done. A lot has
happened since we last met. Greta has lost about 10 teeth, Teresa had
a birthday, as did Greta (Greta 7, Teresa 3, Jack 4) and Jack is now a Mario
Brother's expert (along with Super Heros).
The pictures here are from Mother's day, birthdays and our trip to Michigan
to see Shelly and his family.
Have a great summer.

Winter 2008

March 2nd. It's been
almost four months since I've updated the site. I apologize.
As the kids get older, the size of the issues get larger. They take
more time, the job gets more demanding, blah blah blah. But we'll
get by :)
Things around here are great. Greta is starting to sound like an
adult, Jack is trying to become a boy, but he's surrounded by girls.
Two sisters, two female cousins on Jesse's side, two female cousins on
Maggie's side, and NO BOYS! Poor little guy. All he's got is
me, Pup and Jess. And Jess is busier than a one armed man in a coat
hanging factory. Teresa, she's a doozy. Always either
LAUGHING or crying. It's a wonderful life. |

Fall 2007

Things this fall are simply
WONDERFUL! Maggie and I had our first vacation alone in 7 years, and
we're like kids when we talk about it. We're still remembering what
we were doing "at 7:30 three weeks ago tonight". Longing is more
like it. The kids are great, if not destructive. The extended
family is great. There's nothing to complain about. Happy
Thanksgiving all, and Merry Christmas (knowing me it will be until Jan or
Feb before I update this again. I hope these holidays find you in
good health and your lives are filled with happiness. See you soon. |
Summer 2007

I've decided that I'm going
to make this a quarterly update. I have far too much going on to get
this thing updated every month. And with 3 or 4 months to talk
about, I can fill the page with "interesting" anecdotes. This summer
has been great. We've had two parties, we've gone to Arlington Park
Racetrack a couple of times, and Teresa is turning into a serious woman.
An angry woman at that. There are LOTS of big things coming too.
Uncle Jess and his family, and we're going to the Wisconsin Dells in two
weeks. The world's greatest water park is at Chula Vista, and we have
3 nights in 2 bedroom condos...it's going to great! More inside, and
we have 138
pictures, so take your time. |
March / April / May
2007

I know. I know.
Complete slacker I am. It's been three months since I've updated the
site, and I have no excuse. Oh wait, yes I do. Melted
computer. That's right. I melted my PC. I took it to
work, to have the video card looked at, and when I brought it home, I left
it in the car for a few days, b/c I was too lazy to bring it into the
house right away. Maggie called to me on a Sunday afternoon, after
opening my car, at 150 degrees inside. Everything melted. But
we're back! And better than ever.
Enjoy!

Jan
/ Feb 2007

It's been quite a
while since I've updated the site. The problem is that it's
been 10 degrees for the past 2 months, and we haven't done much of
anything. We did watch the Bears blow the Superbowl!
It was devastating! Luckily I didn't lose any money.
We also went sledding a couple times. Fun fun. We're
going to have to make a better effort taking pictures
though. Two months and we have 30 pictures to show for
it. Not very good. Life is good. We're all
pining for the spring. Cubs, Sox, sun....WARMTH! We
miss you global warming! Enjoy the pics. |

Children Learn What They Live

-Dorothy
Law Nolte
|
If children live with
criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have goals.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves
and in those around them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place
in which to live.

The Waterkotte Wärmepumpen GmbH
is a company in Germany that sells Waterkotte heat pumps. I received an
email from their company asking that I put a link to their site on this
one. How can I refuse? If you have a minute, check it out.
It's pretty cool.

This web page is not one of deep intellectual thought, nor do I
have
delusions of grandeur contained within. This is merely a self promoting waste of
bandwidth for family and friends. I do, however, see big things on the
horizon. For the time being, feel free to view some photos and
browse the sites.
