Winter 2008 (Early 2008)

It's a new year.  Life is changing.  I'm starting to believe global warming may be simply a rumor.  We've gotten more snow this winter than in the past 20 years combined.  That's what the newspaper said.  Unreal.  The city (AND SUBURBS) are out of salt.  The streets are like driving on a washboard.  Thick, frozen ice.  It's rotten.  In the meantime the Waterkotte family is doing fine.  Maggie is now a Brownie Mom, Greta is a soon to be Girl Scout.  She's selling cookies, and enjoying functions...it's funny watching her grow up.
Jack is in preschool.  He's going 3 days a week, and he'll be doing 5 days a week come September.  Teresa starts 3 days a week in the fall.  Don't look now, but we're going to have 3 kids in school in no time.  Jack is doing well.  He's a little TOO into video games at the moment, but we're weaning him off slowly.  He's already great at them.  He's 4!  We're down to an hour a day.  It's hard b/c I've always been addicted to video games, and I finally have someone to play with (ha ha).  Teresa is really a trip.  She's definitely got third child syndrome.  She wants to be involved in EVERYTHING.  God forbid you ask someone else if they want something.  She'll answer yes before they even notice you're talking to them.  And she is turning into Jack and Greta's slave.  "Teresa, go get the remote".  "Teresa, go get mommy".  "Teresa, get me that newspaper"....oh wait, that's me.  But the kids are running her ragged.  And she loves it.  Any attention is good attention as far as she's concerned.  We were a little worried she was going to be an unhappy one, but she's turning a corner.  She's becoming a happy little camper.  She still is a little mental case though.  She can snap into a fit at the drop of a hat, but I think she's doing it to let everyone know she's here, and she's not going to be taken advantage of.  She's certainly fun to be around that's for sure.  OK, I don't want to be too long winded.  Here are the latest pictures.
