RWPL League Rules

The league will consist of (12) tournaments to be played on the last Friday of each month
· First Tournament will be on Friday, April 30, 2004 and play the last tournament of the season will be on March 25, 2005
· Each monthly tournament will begin at 7pm unless otherwise announced
· Locations of each monthly tournament will vary (Evanston, Glenview, Summit, LaGrange Park, Chicago, Schaumburg, etc)

You will be awarded points based on your finish in each of the (12) tournaments
· Leader boards will be posted the Tuesday following each tournament so you know where you stand
· Your best 9 finishes will count toward the final standings (as we know everyone won't make every event)

The top-8 players in the point standings will play in a final tournament to be held at our season-ending banquet on April 29, 2005
· 60% of the final pot will be distributed as awards for the top-5 players in the standings (50%, 20%, 15%, 10% and 5% respectively)
· 25% will be up for grabs in the final game-winner take all!
· 15% will go to pay for the Final Banquet

Costs

$30 league registration fee/person will pay for chips, cards and tabletops (non-refundable if you drop-out)
· Guarantees you a seat at each of the (12) monthly tournaments
We will have quality chips and will also provide new cards for each tournament
· Tabletops will be purchased so nobody is obligated to carry and/or provide their own
$40 buy-in for each monthly tournament
· $20 goes for the nightly winners ... 50%, 20%, 15%, 10% and 5% to the top-5 players respectively
· $10 goes for the yearly pool to be distributed among the top-5 in the point standings and to final participants in the final tournament
· $5 goes to refreshments for the event, which will include a keg and sandwiches
· $5 goes to purchase your nametag for the evening... you'll receive the nametag for each person you eliminate and you'll get $5 back for each of them when you are eliminated from the tourney (at next break unless a manager is available)

Every player will be provided with a rulebook and guidelines for how the league will be managed. There are (30) slots to fill for the league. We expect to have most, if not all of you play every month. Please keep in mind-this league is invitation only!
