It's been a little bit since I last wrote, and I apologize.  I have a new job (not so new anymore), and it's taking a lot out of me.  I think I mentioned before it's harder than anything I've done before, but I think I now know why.  It has to do with the pressure to perform.  In my old jobs, I had a role, and it was pretty easy to maintain that role.  Now, things change so much from week to week, but the numbers never go away...everything's about making your numbers.  You're sick this week, too bad, make your numbers.  Your house burnt down, too bad, make your numbers.  For the most part, I'm making my numbers, but it's taking away from the family, and NO ONE around here is liking that. So take the pressure, add the lack of family time, and a miserably pregnant wife, and you can see how I could say this job is tough.  But hey, no one ever said life was easy.

As for the family we're doing great.  The kids are so wonderful.  Greta is just as sweet and polite as she can possibly be.  She's thoughtful, and is genuinely nice to people.  Thank God for Maggie.  Jackson is like owning a monkey.  He's the POLAR opposite of how Greta was as a toddler.  You could give her a book, and set her in the middle of the floor, and she'd be there for an hour.  If you did that with Jack, by the time you turned back around, he'd be climbing up the shelves.  It's amazing.  You can't look away from him.  And if you yell his name, as in "Jack, put that down!", he runs the other direction laughing.  "Jack!  Come here!" translates to "Jack, run the other direction" somehow.  It's hard not to laugh though.  Because he's laughing as he's running.  No matter what though, it's a whole lot of fun.

In this month's pictorial, Greta's first dace recital is documented, as is our trip to Indy and Jack's first haircut.  We also had fun painting Mama's belly for Mother's day.  By the way, this will be the last time I write as the father of 2.  Maggie will be induced on the 23rd of this month if she doesn't go into labor naturally by then.  Fun fun.

See ya next time...
