Construction

In 1999 we bought our first house.  We decided to add a kitchen to it, because the kitchen was so small, you had to eat a large pizza outside.  These are some of the pictures of the changes to the house...

   
Once upon a time, we had a yard...         And the kitchen looked like this.

    
This is where we began...                                And it grew from here...

    
He built it himself                            And even did the roof!

With the taping complete, we could bring the cabinets in from the yard

   
The tile was next ...and it only took 3 tries to get the appliances

And finally...you know it's complete when you're tired of cleaning it!

The grass grew in no time and the deck followed.

All said and done, it took 3 and a half months to do the job.  With the help of almost everyone I know, and every last penny we had, we now have what we both consider our dream house.  I can't thank the guys enough for their help (except of course Brendan).  My Mom and Dad came up with the design, Mama and Papa Hart had a hand in the decor, and Maggie did all the real work.

If I haven't said I'm the luckiest guy alive yet, I should...because I am.
