Life in the Waterkotte household is constantly changing.  No two days are the same...but there are quite a few that are similar.  One constant?  Teresa sure does know how to cry!  Just about all day every day there's at least one screaming child in the house.  There's a rare quiet that falls over the house from time to time, and we live for those moments.  It's not something that we can count on happening everyday, but when it happens, it's heavenly.  It's like when you see your dog's ear go up and his head cocks, like he's hearing something you're not...and you kinda look off into the distance like you're listening for a train coming....kinda like that.  You think, "wait, listen....do you hear that?  The sweet sound of silence".  And you take a deep breath of it, the silence fills your head AND your lungs, and it washes over you like a wave over a seashell...then as fast as it came, it's gone again.  Someone's yelling at someone else, someone's crying, someone's calling you, calling "mommy!"...and you're back in the trenches.

I have a client that has 15 brothers and sisters.  FIFTEEN!  I almost feinted when she told me.  Can you imagine?  I guess there's a point in your life when your good sense just goes out for smokes, and never comes back.  Mine came back from the store after a few hours, luckily.  I have the vasectomy appt scheduled for Aug 17th.

Here are some good shots from the month.  Man did I hit the lottery!  Maggie has some good genes...look at how cute these damn kids are!
