2004 Post Cards

The idea here is I have to clean up the front page every couple of years, and I have to get some of these
"post cards" off of it.  So this way I have each year on a separate page...here's 2004...

November has come and gone, and December is in full swing.  Christmas is coming, and we're very excited.  Lots going on in the Waterkotte household this month, and lots on the horizon.

I'd like to say thanks to all the people from IBM and Exelon for being so kind to me for these past seven years.  I really enjoyed working with everyone, and I look forward to seeing you again very soon.  Have a wonderful holiday season, and I will return to see you all soon!

Enjoy this months pictures...

It's October, and that means the trees are changing colors, the nights are getting longer, and my grass is coming up like gangbusters.  Maggie, Greta and Jack are doing great.  Greta loves school, Maggie loves the quiet when Greta's at school, and Jack is standing on his own.  It's only a matter of time till the new one is standing...yeah, you heard right...we have a new one coming...more details inside this month's entry.  We're thinking Dean if it's a boy, maybe Sha-nay-nay if it's a girl.  Enjoy the pictures...

Another month goes by, and all I can do is take pictures.

 9-25-04

This is the picture we used for Jack's ONE YEAR birthday party invitations.  Mom's birthday was today, and Jesse's and Leanna's TWO MONTH anniversary was today.  Lot's of fun stuff happening lately.

8-11-04

Home sweet home.  We're back to the normal grind of everyday life in Evanston.  No foreseeable vacations planned, nothing huge on the horizon...other than, of course, FOOTBALL SEASON!  I'm so excited I can't tell you.  Greta is getting excited too.  She's 3 and looking forward to watching football with daddy.  How cool is that?  The Poker league is going great too.  There's a link above to the League Site.  Check it out...it's cool.  GO BEARS!

I figured it was time I got Maggie's mug on the front page.  She'd say otherwise, but look down the page, there isn't a single shot of her.  And look at that face...sweet as can be.  This month was full of activity.  Check out the family page, and then check out the new construction page.  Lots of fun in July I'll tell you that.  Thanks to all the guys that helped with the deck, special notice goes to Tom Svaboda for nailing in 40 joist hangers, and supplying me with ANY tool I needed, and Simon (Minski) for his help.  Thanks guys.

VACATION!

Who would have thought Philly in July would have been sunny, and 75 degrees?  What a wonderful time we had.  I bought a new digital camera (as our last one bit the dust mere months after the warrantee expired), so we got to playing with it, and came away with a ridiculous amount of pictures.  They all look really nice though...3 pages of vacation pics...enjoy.

  6-10-04

Summer is here in full swing.  We came home on Sunday and it was 88º in the house.  Thank God for air conditioning.  We walked in and our cat said "how about a shave?"  It was pretty hot.  Jack is eating baby food now, and Greta only eats cookies.  Not really, I can't complain.  Her best friend in the world lives next door (the Block's -they have four children - bless their souls), and they all get along great.  There's a youth movement on our block.  I think I counted 14 kids.  Sheesh!  Enjoy this months pics...

Summer's on it's way and it's amazing to see the neighbor kids after 5 months of winter.  Suddenly they're huge.  You know how you never notice your own cat growing, but someone always says, "WOW that cat is enormous!".  It's the same with the neighbor kids.  It's going to be a great summer, there are four kids next door, and four kids just moved in behind us (and they have a trampoline).  Pray for us.  Enjoy the shots.

  4-11-04

What a wonderful month it's been.  The kids are growing up, and I'm starting to deteriorate at an unbelievable rate.  I am playing basketball every Sunday and Wednesday nights, and the following day I really struggle to walk.  I'm 34 for goodness sake!  What happened to the days of bounding from one rooftop to the next with no pain or pressure to stop?  I sure do miss those days.  OK, enjoy this months pics.

3-14-04

I know this looks like a Valentines day picture, but it's really a St. Patrick's picture...see all the green?  OK, It's a Valentines picture, I put the February pictures up in March to ensure I have enough to fill the page.  It's an old trick, but I have to do it.  I hope all is well with you and yours.  Enjoy the pictures.

We got some real good shots this month.  Everything is well.  We're up to our knees in snow, but it makes for good sledding.  I'm glad I was too cheap to buy a snow-blower this summer.  My back thanks me every morning.  Hey, don't forget you guys...I got my real estate license last year.  If you're going to buy anything, let me know, I can help you.  OK, here are the latest stories and pictures.  Thanks again for stopping by.

1-8-04

Lots of pictures of these two together.  The new dynamic duo.  Christmas was fantastic.  We had FIVE Christmas's to do, so needless to say we were exhausted.  Maggie's Dad's, Maggie's Mom's, OURS, my parent's, and The Milwaukee contingency's Christmas were all very nice, and the kids were very good.  It's getting cool because Greta is starting to figure out what Christmas means (at least the "open more presents" part of it).  I will have pictures from these events when they come back from the Photomat.  I
