Week 1, 2002

Gentlemen, gentlemen...we are officially underway.  There were some great games this weekend, and some stinkers (Brett).  It looks like this year's going to be full or upsets and crazy events.  Let's get right to it…

Free Agent pick-up order:

Komo/Rino; Brungie; Kevin/Gary; Arthur; Jake; Jesse/Pop; Jack; H20; Brenda; Matt; Protos; Red/Slags

In the John Division things are pretty bad.  Jesse and dad got screwed by Plaxico's long ass foot.  He gets his feet down on Monday night, they win, and the Protos are on a losing streak.  But instead, they score 94 points and lose.  Priest Holmes eh?   Jake and Matt did a good job, but Matt came out on top.  And Brungie's #1 pick overall was in danger of being benched in week one…I wonder how long he'll last?  Luckily he drafted Steve Buereline too.  Not a single win in this division this week.

In the Wayne Division there were quite a few winners.  As I mentioned, the Protos got a win, and Steven Davis looks real good…I hope week one was a fluke (Shane Matthews?  C'MON!).  Commish got a win even though Corey Dillon was MIA.  Jack looks good too, but the rock Curtis Martin hurt his ankle…we'll have to watch that one.   Komo and Rino (LOW POINT TOTAL) were banking on St. Louis and they failed to score a TD thru the air.  Hmmmm?

In the Gacy Division there were quite a few wins too.  Red and Slags set a precident with HIGH POINT TOTAL and 113 points.  We watched Marty Booker score 25 points together as Red almost died of Sun poisening.  115º on the field in Champaign…we were 7 rows from the field…so it was DAMN hot.  Matt Lane had a good day, Boston is a top receiver…period!  Brendan is worried about his backs, but he did get the win, so he can't be too worried.  Kevin and Gary lost by 2 points.  DOH!  Already losing close ones.  Damn.

Things are ramping up here…see you all at Micheals on Sunday.
