Update # 1, 2001 Let me start this by putting fantasy football into perspective. We live in an era where our freedom is so uncontested that we can focus our time and energy on a GAME that revolves around a GAME. Things in our world will be different from now on, and I hope we all stop to realize just how important life is, and how good we all have it. If you're not in the mood to read about a game now, close this and read it later, I think we'll all understand. Onward and upward Things in MOE are interesting to start Brunger reached out and snatched HIGH POINT TOTAL of the week, and is first to collect the $25. It might be his only one though, as his #1 receiver is out with a broken leg. Ahman Green looks like he might be worthy of first round status after all Jess and Pop looked to have a pretty solid team too. Trent Green had a miserable game, Ricky had a bad day, and they still scored 80 points Kevin is a little worried about his squad that only scored 64 points. Duante had a "bad day" (248 and 2 TDs), and Warrick Dunn and Duce Staley did nothing to prove that they weren't fantasy risks Jake's squad is better than it was last year, Fred Taylor, Jeff Garcia, and Tony Gonzales are BIG TIME preformers, but if they don't all perform at the same time, trouble in the Wisby camp. The LARRY division is entertaining as well. Brendan ended up scoring more points on his bench than he did with his starters, and still won. Of the four RBs he took in the first four rounds, three of them had 100 yards, and two had multi-TD games. If he continues to win w/out making any moves, we all might be in trouble The Proto Types had a nice game as well. To score 99 points, after Randy Moss contributes almost none of them, and LOSE is something that will sting for a while. Greise looks like a bonafied STUD! Let's see how the loss of McCaffrey effects this team Matt scored a whopping 56 points, and wasn't low point total. After Warner, the team seems to fall off considerably. If Warner has a bad day, then Bruce has a bad day, Preist WON'T have a good day, and Moulds had ONE catch. Matt, keep those fingers crossed real tight Jack is VERY nervous after earning the heinous LOW POINT TOTAL! 42 points is NOT the way the defending SuperBowl Chump wanted to make his statement. Derrick Alexander was held catchless in game one, and Brad Johnson didn't look great. Michael Bennett may or may not be this years rookie stud, and Holt will suffer if Warner struggles. All and all, Jacks fingers are crossed too In the Curly Division, things are going to be parsimonious. Not including me, the other three jamokes all scored within 12 points of each other. I have a feeling it's going to be like that all season long (none within 25 points of the master HA! J/k). Commish had a good day. It's probably not going to be like that all the time, but this week Edgerrin, Jamal, Amini, Rod, and Cam all came through. 104 isn't a bad score considering ZERO from NYG Def Arthur won with 75 points, and he started Tim Biakabutuka! His ONLY other RB is Antwain Smith. 3 backs drafted! Oh boy Komo and Rino have a decent looking team, but with 70 points, they're not striking fear into anyone's heart. They have stud receivers, but NO RBs. Maybe call Brendan Red has a better team than last year also, but unless he gets more production out of these guys, he's going to be fighting to keep out of the cellar again. All in all I'd say that the league will be interesting this year. High Point Total: Low Point Total:
Here's how we stand after 1 week
